NaBloPoMo Day VI Man vs Mountains

Welcome to NaBloPoMo November 2012!

For the entire month of November I will focus on The Golden Moth Illumination Deck created by the ever so talented Aijung Kim. This is a wonderfully unique and original oracle deck. It's not a traditional Tarot deck but rather an intuitive oracle deck of simple drawings that will knock your socks off. The deck consists of 75 cards, 7 of which are blank and you are encouraged to draw your own cards.

Check out Aijung blog in the featured link on the right side of my blog.

Man vs Mountains

So many mountains so little time. You're prepared of course, you have your backpack. You're prepared for your adventure. Do you realize the number of obstacles in your life? You can't see mountain behind this mountain, or the mountain behind that one and so on. Is there a way to stay grounded and go around them? Climbing up and down will just get you to the next mountain. And the next. And to make matters worse, it looks like rain. You may feel prepared for the climb but doubtfully you could pack enough to get through this terrain. What mountainous obstacle are you facing today? Are you prepared for the tasks? What do you need to do to navigate the terrain? Are you prepared for possible rain?

This is one of those days that is already filled with numerous mountains to climb.  I've climbed them all before.  This time every year I'm faced with more mountains than I can climb in the time allotted.  I organize and prepare well but it's exhausting.  Each victory ends with another challenge, another task.  I feel overwhelmed, tired and just plain ready to chuck it all.  It truly takes the joy out of this blessed season that should be filled with joy, family, and a great deal of gratitude.

What are your mountains today?  Are you prepared?  Are you prepared enough?  Could you EVEN be prepared enough?  Maybe you need to decide which mountains you will tackle and which ones you'll save for another day (or never?) Maybe you need to create a flat open meadow where you can enjoy the fresh air, relax and look for cloud elephants.

How are you handling your mountains? Leave me a comment!
